The Scholarship Opportunity offered by Saving Space is rooted in our belief that support must go beyond conversation—it must also remove tangible barriers. This initiative uplifts both individuals and student organizations who actively contribute to building community and promoting mental well-being on campus. Through our partnership-based model, we allocate scholarships that recognize and reward leadership, commitment, and advocacy.
We currently offer two distinct scholarships:
Student Organization Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to student-led organizations that demonstrate a consistent commitment to supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of Black male students. Eligible organizations must be involved in efforts that encourage openness, self-expression, and connection among students.
Funding from this scholarship can be used to:
Individual Student Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes a student who has shown initiative and leadership in advancing conversations around mental health within their peer group. Whether formally or informally, these students often act as consistent supporters, role models, or community advocates.
The award is intended to:
Together, these scholarships are part of our broader commitment to creating systems of care that are grounded in connection, responsibility, and visibility. They help fuel the work of those who are already doing the hard work of building community—quietly and consistently—and encourage them to continue knowing their efforts are supported.
Whether you're a student, partner, or supporter, we’d love to hear from you.
